Northern Beaches grunge-punk quartet Down For Tomorrow have revealed an accompanying music video for their new single ‘What Could Have Been’ - shot by photographer/videographer Brandon Lung.
The clip gives fans an insight into the band’s life on the Northern Beaches, showing them playing shows, hitting the beach and getting up to mately shenanigans. Filled with heart, the song’s visuals lay bare the band members’ relationships with one other.
Lung captures DFT in joyous moments, simply having fun and enjoying each other’s company, delivering something of an ‘insider look’ into what drives them to create and perform.
Lead Singer Cody Stebbings describes the motivation behind the clip:
“We wanted to show that we’re four young adults who enjoy each other’s company, making music, and finding fun in the littlest of things. We got [Brandon] to come film some of our shows from last year, mucking around in the studio and just us naturally hanging out with mates. Basically, a compilation video of our time together.”
Since the release of ‘What Could Have Been’, the track has been premiered by triple j Unearthed, with a warm reception from community radio and Spotify editorial playlists ‘Rock Out.’ and ‘Local Noise’.
In the coming months, Down For Tomorrow will be playing East-Coast shows and releasing more new music.
