PSYCHOBABEL release new single "Astral Protoplasm"

Melbourne based garage psych outfit Psychobabel are gearing up to unleash their next single “Astral Protoplasm” on Tuesday 5th March. They’ll be taking it around the country on their first East Coast tour, which includes joining one of the country's biggest psych festivals Mojo Burning in Brisbane.

After the success of their 2018 single “The Others”, which they celebrated with a sold out launch at The Old Bar, and radio play across the country, Psychobabel have since shared the stage with the likes of some of the countries best emerging artists including Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, The Pretty Littles and The Southern River Band as well as international psychedelic heavy weights Earthless.

“Astral Protoplasm” is the next chapter in the alternate universe of Psychobabel’s conceptual, reflective and emotionally dysfunctioning “character”. The track explores her inability to feel pain, emotionally or physically, as “the character” finds herself drifting between two versions of her own reality. This eerie tracks approaches subjects of self-sabotage and incapacity to cope with the dark place in ones mind in an elaborate, sinister and perplexing fit of oscillating fuzz riffs.

Psychobabel will be celebrating the release of “Astral Protoplasm” and kicking off their East Coast tour with a special Melbourne show on March 29th at The Curtin Hotel, joined by Hideous Sun Demon, Pseudo Mind Hive and Sledgehammer.

Single Launch: Friday 29th March - The Curtin Hotel, Melbourne VIC | Tickets

Mojo Burning: Saturday 6th April - The Hamilton Hotel, Brisbane QLD | Tickets
